Greetings to those who have stumbled here to learn something about this band that's going to be playing Pink Floyd's "Meddle", as part of Arlene's Grocery's 'Classic Album Night' series. This page here is the blog, and it's written by me, Dave - I'm normally the bass player and lead singer of Copper Man, but for the "Meddle" show, I'll be moving to keys.

The band normally is this line up:
Dave Kopperman - Bass, Lead Vocals
Bran Lancourt: Rhythm Guitar, Vocals
Edz O'Leary: Drums
Eric Santaniello: Lead Guitar.

All you really need to know about us is this: we're a pop-rock band with folk and new wave flavors.

I've personally grown up with Pink Floyd as one of the greatest influences in my life, and it's really the only band that I can claim to be a fanatic about. Questions like, "What was the 'b' side of the U.K. single release of 'Apples and Oranges'?" actually hold an interesting answer, for me.

Additionally, as a songwriter and musician, what the writers in Pink Floyd - ALL the writers - gave me is probably impossible to measure. Rick Wright is, without a doubt, the most formative influence on me as a musician, and definitely geared me towards my first love, piano.

I can't speak too much for the rest of the band, but I know that Eric, like most lead guitar players worth their salt, spent a long time as a teenager copying Gilmour licks note-for-note, and here's where that exercise pays off.

Okay. All that having been said, we all hope that you'll come out and see us on March 20th. It's going to be very, VERY cool.

-Dave

P.S.: If you want to hear what we sound like when we're not playing Pink Floyd, visit our music page, or check our images page for some live video.
