Welcome to the Copper Man site. This page is going to be our blog.  I hate the word ‘blog’, and the actual meaning of it is controversial.  Is it a diary?  A listing of links?  A bit of both?

I don’t really have any idea what THIS blog will be, but we promise to keep it (at least) entertaining, and (hopefully) worthwhile.

Right now, there’s not much on my mind except the website itself, which would make for terribly meta-reading.  Like Steven Wright said, “I put instant coffee in the microwave and almost went back in time.”

Well, not much on the mind except jokes from 80’s humorists, I guess.

Speaking of the site, it’s still a very new thing, and any feedback that you’d like to send would be greatly appreciated.  Site too gray?  What’s with the weird navigation?  We’d like to know.  hello@copper-man.net

Here’s a link, while we’re at it:

http://www.checkmatesr.com/

That’s for Checkmate Sound & Recording, run by Mr. Ryan Ball.  Anyone ever in the need for quality recording and a good argument on semantics should seriously consider giving him a call.  He’s willing to fight you to make your own music good, which is more than can be said for most entrepreneurial engineers.

Thanks largely to Ryan, “Selling the Downtown Dream” went from being a loosely arranged group of pop tunes to the highly polished pop masterpiece that it is.  No, seriously.

Anyway, see you next week.

Dave
